Staying warm in April

It has been SUPER CHILLY the past week! Last time I checked April wasn't supposed to be in the 30s and 50s.
I think Mother Nature got March and April confused . . .

Regardless, my roommate and I are always having fun and making the best out of everything. So how did we do it this time?
Well:

What do you get when you have two artists, two hairdryers, and a cold, cold room?!

A creative idea and fun game of "pass the wrappers"!

Just because the heater won't turn on, it doesn't mean that our hair dryers won't turn on!!
Yes, we literally tried to 'turn up the heat' with our hair dryers. haha!

Healthy Fridge!

In my dorm, I have a mini fridge. One may think that any typical college student with a personal fridge would have it filled with goodies, snacks, and treats.

Well, it must be the years of starring at my parents' healthy fridge that makes my own fridge look like this:

(see Mom and Dad?! I DO know how to take care of myself!)

ps-the pepsi container is filled with tea

I'm really happy that I have it stocked with good things. It's really important, especially as a student!

Don't be fooled, though. Just because the fridge is healthy, it doesn't mean that I don't have other treats located in different areas of the room...

I'm twenty years old, and I still can't believe it! I clearly remember last year turning nineteen and thinking "it's so crazy that I'm so close to the 2-0"

and here I am! 

My friend Kara surprised me on Friday in theory class with brownies that said, "Happy Birthday Hannah!" Obviously, they didn't make it back in one piece. It was a wonderful surprise that kicked off a Wonderful birthday! 

I was surprised later in the day with a package full of plates, cups, and napkins from my parents, only to find that they were intended to go with the giant cookie they had ordered for me! After practicing in music hall (yes, even on my birthday I practice) I attended the St. Petersburg State Orchestra concert with friends, and after had a whimsical party with a movie (Kate and Leopold) and food (the cookie!). 

Thank you to all who made my birthday wonderful!!

I'm not a frequent customer, and I don't indulge when I spend money, but slowly over the past two years I've earned enough points to put me at the elite status! HUZZAH! 

I'll get a free drink for every birthday and every 15 points I earn (not too bad!). Now I actually have to keep track of how many points I have exactly...

Lena!

When visiting my freshman roommate Giselle, who I will be visiting this summer (see previous post), I got to meet Lena, her new puppy! 

Lena is a Husky with B e a u t i f u l blue eyes! 

(and she smelled really good, too)

I'm excited to spend more time with them here AND this summer!

The Caribbean, Love

Can you guess where this is in the world?!

I will be traveling here for 10 days this summer! 

I will be staying with a college friend and will get to see mountains, waterfalls, rain forests, and a beautiful new culture...

3 Semesters of College: ✓

It has been three months since I've last had a moment to catch up with this blog.

It has been almost three years from the time I was getting prepared for a college life.

It has now been three semesters since I started college.

Life is moving so fast!

At one point I got a little sick and took photos with an idea to post about my health...

...and how I managed to go through THREE entire boxes of tissue. Yikes, nose. 

This semester was busy and challenging for many reasons, but I am happy that it is over and a new semester is almost here! 

I am in the process of P A C K I N G! Home again, home again, jiggity jog! 

I will be home for almost Three weeks, and then return to finish up the 3 months left of my year! 

WOAH!
